How connection of GPS module "Drozd" influences on the onboard network of the car? | ![]() | ![]() |
Module GPS "Drozd" is connected directly to the automobile accumulator battery (the starting battery) through an additional fuse. Other electric circuits of the car don't change and connection to them doesn't fulfill, if on the car isn't established the additional equipment – fuel control , the module of indication for an exchange of text messages, etc. In several cases, when it is not possible to fulfill conducting to an accumulator compartment, module connection is carried out in the nearest point of an onboard network where constant voltage of 12/24 V is present.
Power consumption from the accumulator battery of the car in active mode GPS "Drozd" are about 13.6V × 0.06A = 0,7 W that is 7 times less than a salon illumination lamp required . Power consumption in a parking mode less than 0,3 W. Power consumption of GPS systems "Drozd" is near to own onboard electronics power consumption level of the modern car in a waiting mode (no movement, the central lock is closed, the security system is engaged). Passenger car accumulator batteries has 50-85 A·h capacity, lorries 95-190 A·h.
It is easy to count time of full use of capacity of the automobile accumulator battery if the car is without movement: (60 A·h) / (0,06 A) = 1000 h = 41 days; As a rule, manufacturers specify capacity of the starting battery for a mode of the category in rated current in some tens amperes, at small currents the battery operating time will be much more.
At scheduled car idle times for 30 days and more, follow the general recommendations of the manufacturer (periodically get and warm up the engine or disconnect the automobile accumulator on an idle time in order to avoid full discharge of onboard electronics) Consumption level of onboard systems of the car*
* сapacity of lamps is taken from popular catalog OSRAM for appropriate types of lamps of an incandescence. Conclusion: installation of the module "Drozd" doesn't influence on other systems in the car. |
